Five Ways To Paint
You may not know it, but the way you hold your brush is the key to painting. Watercolor paintings usually consist of five different grips of the brush. First there is the classic grip, imagine holding a pencil or a pen, only closer to the point itself. Another type of grip is called pinch, this is holding the brush with your thumb and fingers, as if you are picking up a pencil off of a stand. Third, is called pass the pencil, this kind of grip is exactly what it says. The fourth grip is called the screwdriver, and basically you hold it like you are holding a screwdriver. Last is the conductor grip. This grip you hold the brush as if you are conducting a musical. These are the basic five grips in watercolor painting.
