Different Frames
When building your next carport one of the things you’ll need to consider is what type of frame to use. You have 3 basic choices: wood, metal, or PVC. A traditional carport like the one attached to your house is usually made of wood. Wood is a good choice as it is strong, and stylish. However it can be quite expensive. Metal is a great choice, and commonly used in freestanding structures. It’s strong, but harder to match style wise to an exisitng building. However it is very affordable. PVC or plastic, is used in most portable Carports. It’s strong, but can break much easier than wood or metal. However it is lightweight making it very portable, and usually much more affordable than either wood or metal. So consider these things next time you’re building or purchasing a carport frame.
