Cover Letter Length
In preparing a resume, a helpful use of a cover letter template is getting the picture of what a proper cover letter length is. You should find that most sample cover letters are about one page in length. A cover letter is meant to be just what it sounds like - a single, introductory page that covers your resume - not a lengthy document in itself, and certainly not one longer than your actual resume, which is the centerpiece of any job application. A cover letter is meant to briefly introduce yourself and your qualifications for the position you’re applying for, not tell your life story or even your career story.
