I Was Very Nervous about Parking My Semi when I First Started Out
When I first got my trucking licence, I was scared to death to be dragging that big load down highways and interstates. I was even more afraid of trying to back into loading docks without taking out the entire staging or hitting some other rig. But I think I was most apprehensive of making a fool of myself trying to fit into a semi truck parking space at a truck stop. If you mess up here, every trucker in the world will know about it as soon as these other guys get back in their trucks and on their radios. You can be sure that initially I went hungry rather that take any chances.
