Internet as Medical Assistant
I love the Internet. I love finding everything from recipes to instructions on re-roofing my house.
But one of the things I like best is that I can find out about medical “stuff” just by searching the Net.
For instance, when I get a prescription, I always go online and learn everything about the medicine before I use it. I also use it to find out what symptoms mean.
Last year my husband was having digestive problems and was told he could be helped by something called Bowtrol. So I researched it using the search term “Bowtrol results ibs” and, sure enough his symptoms fit.
Thanks to the Net’s medical assistance, my guy feels better.
