Phony Debt Relief Companies

Like all things financial, Credit Card Debt Relief companies are not 100 percent safe from scammers and cheaters. This is why you need to make sure that the company you are working with is legitimate and has a history of helping other people manage their debts. One such tactic of a bogus debt relief company was to pretend that it was forwarding the client’s payments to the creditors. In reality, the payments were never sent out. Clients were sending in good faith payments and had no idea that their money never reached their creditors. It was only discovered after the bogus company closed its doors and ran off with the money.
