A Greenhouse Cover Gave Me Early Starts
When I put in my raised beds I wanted to somehow extend the growing season by getting my plants in the ground earlier. After doing a lot of research I discovered that by raising the sides of my planter and making them at an angle I was then able to install a Greenhouse Cover over the bed. By carefully regulating the height of the opening on the cover during the day I was able to get everything started early and healthy. With a constantly controlled growing environment I was able to build up a heat sink so that the soil temperatures stayed warm through out the night.
